Some of the most beautiful beaches in Istria and Croatia are on the Medulin Riviera. Medulin's beaches are truly enchanting not only for their beauty, but diversity as well. On the 80 kilometers of indented coastline characteristic for Istria there are sandy, pebbly and rocky beaches; bare rocks with no shelter from the summer heat or pleasant shade of centuries-old pine trees with their branches bending over the sea; bustling public beaches or almost Robinson-like isolation and privacy on one of the dozen or so small islands of the Medulin archipelago. So, the southwestern beaches of Istria offer something for everyone: windsurfing or sailing in the strong maestral, a summer breeze usually blowing in the afternoon hours, carefree children's play while building sandcastles, a group that is about to plunge into the big blue in search of an ancient shipwreck, or maybe you prefer mountain-biking along the stunning coast of nature park Cape Kamenjak with an occasional refreshing dip in its crystal-clear sea.
